I've owned a 14' Skagit since 1957 when my dad bought it new. It has been painted and the old white rubber trim bumper has been replaced with a more modern aluminum with black rubber insert. This past summer I replaced all the plywood in the seats and floors that had dry rotted after 50 plus years. I would like to hear from anyone that might have a line on a windshield as mine broke many years ago.

Just found this site. We have a 17 foot 1957 Skagit Express Cruiser which we bought from Chuck Carey a year ago. It is the Rosario and we love her! Tried to join this group but couldn't make out the code letters and too deaf to hear them played. Oh, well, guess I belong to enough things already.

Like Jeff said "You can take the man out of the Skagit, but you can't take the Skagit out of the man". After two years of being Skagitless I now once again own a beautiful 1958 20' Express cruiser. This beauty was discovered by Bill Roberts and surveyed by Bruce Bridwell. Skagiteers watching out for a fellow Skagiteer. That's just the way it works around here.
