Welcome to www.classicskagitboatclub.com, The Original Classic Skagit Boat Club
Home of the "Skagiteers"
Jill wanted a small boat project, and picked a great candidate, the 1959 Skagit 14 Sportster.
These are fun boats on low power.
The 59 Skagit 14's adopted the channeled Air-O-Glide bottom that the bigger Skagit boats used. Previously, the 1956, 1957, & 1958 Sportsters used a sponsoned bottom.
We'll update Jill's page as her renovation progresses, and look forward to an on-the-water shot. Victory!
Various shots of Jill's hot 'lil Skaj....

Here is the Skagit ID plate used from 1958 on.
It decodes as follows:
9 = 1959 model year
4 = 14' series
S = Sportster sub-series
5000 = number sequence for 14 series
150 = 150th hull of the 14 series manufactured that year
Yup, they churned out many of these little guys.
