La Conner is the hometown of Skagit Plastics, the first fiberglass boatbuilder in that town. Today the yacht builder Pacific Mariner continues the boatbuilding tradition. This link is to the annual LaConner Classic Boat and Car Show Sept 13th 2008 as they haven't updated their site.
