Tug Susie
Ron Rennebohm is now the caretaker of the only known surviving Skagit tugboat Susie. She was formerly owned by the late Ken Youngsman, who built the Twin Bridges Marina facilities.
She is a shallow draft tug powered by a single diesel engine. Originally built to retrieve logs on the Skagit river, she was built to be beached and is of super-stout fiberglass construction.
Ron is often seen running her up and down the slough with pocket pup Tinkerbelle by his side.

Here's Susie at the Skagit Plastics 50th Anniversary event held on Swinomish Channel in August 2005. Caretaker Ron is in white, and our distant member from Australia, Aussie Jim and wife are with him.

Here's a shot of Susie at the new Twin Bridges dry storage facility, used as a backdrop for a shot used in the Skagit Valley Herald back about 2002. I believe Steve Pierce (Spanky) arranged this photo session with Don Lee and Ken.

Stern shot, she has an open aft deck for working!
